Road Safety Week – 18-24 Nov 2019
Sign up to participate in Road Safety Week 2019
Road Safety Week is the UK’s biggest road safety event, coordinated annually by Brake, the road safety charity.
Road Safety Week aims to inspire thousands of schools, organisations and communities to take action and boost awareness on road safety during the week and beyond. It focuses on promoting life saving messages of road safety in all areas.
This Road Safety Week (18-24 November) the theme is “Step up for Safe Streets”, learning about and celebrating the amazing design-led solutions that will allow us all to get around in safe and healthy ways, every day. You can base your activities on this year’s theme, or choose to focus on any other road safety issue that’s important to you.
Your involvement could be as simple as making the Brake Pledge and promoting it in your school/organisation’s newsletter or putting up the posters from the Road Safety Week action pack. Or you could make a bigger splash by teaming up with others in your area to launch a local campaign or run an event or roadshow promoting safer road use.
You can learn more about Road Safety Week and Brake’s work on the Road Safety Week website, as well as more ideas on how you and your community can get involved.
